HAPTIC FLOOR SYSTEM

Haptic Floor Panel

The haptic floor panel array is a low-profile rubber flooring panel with 16 individual haptic actuators imbedded in a 4 x 4 array. Each actuator is independently controlled using a 16-channel audio amplifier to produce a wide range of haptic effects under the feet of a user standing on the panel. The floor panels are modular and can be used individually, or multiple panels can be combined to cover larger areas.

Interactive Haptic Floor System

The interactive floor panel system comprises of at least one haptic floor array, controllers/amplifiers, power supplies, display, audio speakers, sensors, software application and other tools to allow for interactive demonstrations. The system is intended to provide one or more users who are standing on the floor array, with a multisensory experience. The modular interactive floor panel system components are also available separately.

The haptic floor panel array is provided with a simple application that uses a touch screen to control and test the array. A TouchDesigner software script is provided for demonstrating a user-in-the-loop multisensory sample application. eaiHAPTICS can also assist with system integration and content creation or can support the customer’s development effort with specialized software such as HapTrax and/or TouchDesigner.
